AYURVEDIC YOGA THERAPY

Ayurvedic yoga therapy offers an holistic & spiritual approach to medicine & healing through a process of self-investigation, practice & development & self-realisation. Ayurveda isn't just healthy eating. Yoga isn't just exercise. Both are connected to Vedic philosophy which is ancient & vast.  The purpose of these two strands is to empower the individual with the ability to self help & heal. Offering a vast array of knowledge both scientific & philosophic to apply to our everyday lives.

Yoga therapy is very different from a yoga class. The intention is to awaken & educate the client with their bodies & imbalances.

A yoga therapy session will consist of:

  • a confidential assessment of client's symptoms

  • a tailor-made yoga routine for the client to follow at home; Sadhana - a daily spiritual practice that focusses on Asana (postures) that are therapeutic to the client. Pranayama (breathing techniques) to help control anxiety, pain & busy minds & Dhyana cultivating space & stillness in the mind so healing can begin

  • Ayurvedic health & lifestyle advice will be offered

  • where necessary, therapeutic massage session/s will be advised
