1. Who is responsible for your personal information?
For the purposes of the Data Protection Legislation, Spiral Path Therapies (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “our” or “us”) is the data controller in respect of your personal information, that we collect and process as described in this Privacy Policy.
2. What information do we collect?
We will only collect personal information as volunteered by you.
When you book an appointment for massage or yoga, we collect personal details such as your name, surname, email address and telephone or mobile number. This information is used to identify you, to provide the service you have requested and to contact you about the appointments and services you have booked. The personal/health information we collect for Ayurveda is retained and used to offer the best advice & herbal medicinal treatments for your health & wellbeing. All information is kept securely and confidentially solely by us.
To provide a safe and effective massage treatment we also collect information regarding your medical background and lifestyle choices at the time of the treatment. This information is used to make sure your treatment is as effective as possible.
When you sign up to our email newsletter via the website, we will collect your name and surname and your email address.
If you become a member via Facebook or Google, we will collect your name, profile picture and email address. If you become a member via email, we will collect your name and email address.
When you use the website, we receive information about your computer. Spiral Path Therapies may also collect certain non-identifying information including, but not limited to, your IP address, browser type, referral source, operating system, and date and time of your visit.
We use “cookies” placed in the browser file to help us collect general information about the behaviour of visitors on our website. This helps us to monitor and improve our website’s functionality and give you a better browsing experience. Most browsers allow you to refuse to accept cookies. You may decline, disable or delete cookies whilst visiting this website but this may affect the usability of the site.
If you purchase services online, we collect a record of your transaction, but we do not store your card details.
When you buy a gift voucher, we collect personal details such as your name, surname, your email address, the recipient’s name and surname, and possibly a postal address for the recipient. This information is used to identify you and provide the service you have requested.
2. Using your personal data
Any personal information that you provide us with is used exclusively by Spiral Path Therapies to provide you with the service you have purchased and may be used to inform you of current and future activities as described on this website if you have previously attended a yoga class in the last 12 months or had a massage within the last 12 months. Our lawful ground for this is legitimate interest. You can ask us to stop sending you activity information at any time by unsubscribing from our email newsletter.
When you provide us with your personal information in the course of booking a yoga class or block of classes, booking an appointment for a massage, providing pre-massage health data or making a payment, our lawful ground of processing this information is contract, to enable us to carry out a contract between us and you and /or legitimate interest, by taking steps at your request to enter into a such a contract. You are giving your consent to us to collect the required information and to use it for that specific reason.
If you have signed up for a block of 4 yoga classes, or indicated your intention to sign up for the next block of 4 classes, we will send you emails and /or text updates to remind you about the schedule, to advise of a change to the schedule or to advise you of dates for the next set of classes.
We will treat the personal information that you have supplied to us in accordance with our responsibilities under the General Data Protection Regulation Act 2018 as it applies in the EU, and will not pass it to any outside organisations or individuals unless we are required to do so by law.
3. How long do we keep your data?
For the purpose of legal protection we are required to hold the personal information you have given to us, and any notes about massage treatments for a minimum of seven years.
Seven years after your last treatment we will permanently delete all personal information that we hold.
If you withdraw your consent during the seven-year retention period, we will archive your data until the seven-year period expires.
Whilst your information is archived, we will not access or process it in any way accept if needed for legal protection or if required to do so by law.

4. Security of your personal data
We will not share any personal details with any other third parties without your agreement, unless required in order to fulfil our contract with you, or allowed by law.
Our website, data storage and email software is hosted by Wix.com. They provide us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. All direct payment gateways offered by Wix and used by us adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
